From Burnout to Balm: Teena’s Story
After years of juggling business, motherhood and everything in between, our founder Teena found herself completely burnt out.
“I’d been girlbossing and mum-lifeing so hard, I didn’t realise how much it was taking from me until my body started shouting at me,” she says.
At 40, Teena reached a turning point. She stepped back to reset, slow down and reconnect with what really mattered. That included what she was putting on her skin.
During her year of rest, she began experimenting with handmade skincare. Using food-grade, certified organic ingredients, she created simple balms and oils that felt calming, uncomplicated and right for her body.
“Once I stripped everything back, my skin felt more nourished and comfortable than it had in years. I wasn’t wearing makeup, and people started stopping me in the street asking what I used.”
That moment of ease and clarity sparked what would become Bondi Beach Balm.
